Handsome Furs & Arcade Fire - 2007-05-15/16 Massey Hall - Toronto, ON
Arcade Fire sold out two shows at Toronto’s Massey Hall in minutes. Somehow i was lucky enough to get floor seats for both shows. This was my first and second time seeing the band. I had missed out on getting tickets to the Danforth Music Hall shows a few years ago. To me, the crowd seemed more responsive on night 1, but night 2’s audience was completely into by the last few songs of the main set. Opening up for Arcade Fire were another band out of Montreal, the Handsome Furs. I was sort of familiar with the name but had never heard their music before. I enjoyed both their opening sets and would recommend you to check them out. Anyways, you all know about Arcade Fire so im not going to write much about them, and well, i dont have time for much of a write up today. Both shows were great. The recordings turned out ok. I was taping from under the balcony so i think that comes into play on the sound.
