This was one of my favourite shows of the year. I should have recognized that it was Bllitzen Trapper opening up, but i didnt, until the last song, “Wild Mountain Nation”. After a really good opening set, Sam and Sara followed that up with, what i thought, was a great performance. Sam Beam and sister Sara performed a few songs together before the rest of the band came out. After that the tempo picked up, and there are some nice jams throughout the show. Sam and Sara came back out for the encore and performed what has to be one of the most beautiful songs ive had the pleasure of hearing. “The Trapeze Swinger”, a nine minute ballad, sent some chills down my spine.
