There was a great night of Canadian music at Lee’s Palace last Friday. If you weren’t there you missed out. Anyways, this was the first time seeing both Timber Timbre and Fembots. Timber Timbre is a one man show with guitar and, i think, a loop machine or something. Fembots are a two piece, who are usually accompanied by various others onstage, that play a variation of acoustic rock & soul. Headlining tonight was Rock Plaza Central. This was my first time seeing a full show of theirs as first time i saw them they were opening for Apples In Stereo, which was just a 30 or so minute set. Tonights set was about 75 minutes long. They put on a really fun, laid back show. Go see them. A pretty good crowd filled Lee’s tonight, with the exception of alot of chatter at the back bar during all 3 sets. Havent had the time to say anything about this show yet, but hopefully next week i will. In short, it was amazing. They played for around 2 hours. The sound in the ElMo was great for this show. Opening up for Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit was local gal Shannon Lee Briggs. I really enjoyed her set aswell. Hopefully ill have the setlist and maybe a few tracks to post next week.
